Workshop 02 -"BT for Modern Business World"

     The workshop on "Business Technology for Modern Business World" was successfully concluded on 4th August 2011 with the participation of Lectures and Students of the Department of Commerce and Financial management, University of Kelaniya.

Workshop was organized with the purpose of educating and increasing awareness of second year students regarding Business Technology and the importance of a Business Technology degree in future.

Workshop was based on the theme of 'Business Technology for Modern Business World'. Following areas was discussed at the workshop.

• Importance of Business Technology
• Implementation of Business Technology
• Future job market Vs Business Technology

 
Mr.Lakshitha Dharmawansa (Director from Fortune 500 apparel identification product company in Sri Lanka)  addressed the audience as the Resource person.

Student Association of Business Technology like to thank the Resource person Mr. Lakshitha Dharmawansha, Lecturers of the department, students who participated and all others who helped us making this event a success.

1st Project - A file cover from ABT

ABT has printed a file cover as their latest project. Purpose of this project is to promote the awareness about the B.Com (Special) in Business Technology Degree program among the community.

A Guest lecture was held on the topic "IT usage in Banking sector for Competitive Advantage" by Senior Manager, ATM Management, Bank of Ceylon @ the premises of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management, University of Kelaniya on the 28th February 2011.

The Lecture was organized by the Association of Business and Technology.
